Description: In the heart of the ancient town of Byblos, just a stone's throw away from the historic Crusader castle and right on the city's historic port, two 12th century stone caves house the Pepé,, Abed foundation, where all items collected over the years by the illustrious man are on display.
When visitors step inside the caves, they can instantly sense the presence of a living soul. Is it the art? Is it the light casting its shadows on the stone? It's all this and more, as objects and statues from the great civilizations that passed through Byblos -Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines- come back to vivid life after a centuries-long slumber, here within the walls of the Pepé Abed foundation.
