Le Royal's Indian Night a fabulously colorful success indeed!

India came to Lebanon on Friday, September 5 in splashing color, exotic sounds and a bouquet of flavors. After the first successful event in June, the second Indian Night at Le Royal was fully booked with 250 guests, among whom were the Ambassador of India Anita Nayar and several other personalities from the Indian Embassy, as well as VIPs from the Mexican and US Embassies to mark a truly international event!

These series of events represent the first time in many years that the rich Indian culture, its superb cuisine and its amazing traditions are celebrated in Lebanon with so much glamour. Media representatives from different television stations, including Al Arabiya, MBC New TV and ANB were at the event, so was beiruting.com and RPN. The Indian chefs and management of Le Royal were interviewed during the event to highlight this colorful initiative, which included a performance of 11 dancers by the Indian dance troupe flown in from the UAE, Gurukul Dubai.
A draw for prizes included a trip to India for two offered by Al Etihad Airways along with a five-night stay in India offered by Voyages de Sana & Myriam. Other valuable prizes were offered by Le Royal, including membership at the Royal spa, a night's stay for two in a deluxe room, dinners at the Titanic Wine Bar and Diwan Shahrayar, and last but not least a valuable necklace offered by La Maison de Rabab.

One of the highlights of the evening, apart from the rich décor and dancing, was the very delicious buffet that all the guests loved. Refreshing salads contrasted with sophisticated curries and exotic rice varieties, spicy chutneys and mouthwatering desserts. The chefs who came from New Delhi stayed until September 10 to continue offering the popular Indian 'a la carte' menus to visiting guests at Le Jardin du Royal.

The Indian Night marks another great event in Lebanon of building bridges with other nations, fostering cultural exchanges, and strengthening tourism. Stay tuned for more colorful events to come!
