Jordan Regional Manager Bruno Huber voted top Green Hotelier while Dubai’s AnaMarija Raickovic achieves best Marketing and PR award.



Dubai UAE, 20th October 2011: Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has won two top awards in the prestigious Hotelier Middle East Awards 2011.

Bruno Huber, General Manager of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea and the company’s Regional Manager of Jordan, was voted Green Hotelier of the Year, while AnaMarija Raickovic Marketing and Communications Manager for Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach was voted Marketing/PR Manager of the Year.

More than 700 nominations were received by Hotelier Middle East, part of Dubai-based ITP Business Publishing, which describes the awards as “a celebration of excellence with the winners truly heroes that make a difference”.

“We are absolutely delighted,” said Craig Cochrane, Vice President of Human Resources, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Middle East & Asia. “The awards are voted for by an independent panel of judges and celebrate the best of the best. Bruno and AnaMarija faced fierce competition from hundreds of hotels around the region and their awards are a wonderful validation of their achievements.”

The awards were last night (October 19) presented at a glittering gala dinner attended by more than 500 of the hotel industry’s leading players.

Teddu Rajeshwar, Line Supervisor of Mövenpick Hotel Deira, was highly commended as Hotelier’s ‘Unsung Hero of the Year’ and three other Mövenpick Hotel & Resort employees were shortlisted among the top hoteliers in the Middle East.

They were Marcus Dudley, Director of Food and Beverage Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, Ala’a Madanat, Assistant Chief Engineer Mövenpick Resort & Residences Aqaba and Ibrahim Khawaldeh, Recreation Manager Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba.
