Beirut shoppers surprised by RA Flash Mob

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), one of the most common and serious forms of arthritis, is a chronic disease, mainly characterized by inflammation of the lining, or synovium, of the joints. It can lead to long-term joint damage, resulting in chronic pain, loss of function, irreversible joint destruction and disability.
RA affects 1% of the Lebanese population according to the Lebanese Society of Rheumatology.

The 2012 awareness campaign will highlight the importance of early diagnosis by detecting signs and symptoms of the disease.

As part of the awareness campaign activities and to ensure that the campaign reaches all segments of the society, the flash mob comes as a visual message highlighting the importance of early diagnosis for people with RA so as to keep on dancing and enjoying life.

Not only did it surprise and delight the mall shoppers who witnessed the 'live' version, the video has also gone viral via social media.

This project is organized by IRADA, a non-profit patient support group that focuses on Rheumatoid Arthritis awareness in Lebanon. It was held at the ABC Mall, Achrafieh, and was performed by 100 talented dancers from the 'Moves Dance Studio'.

Special thanks to: ABC Mall, Moves Dance Studio, MEMAC Ogilvy PR, Martin Solveig, Wagram Music

Soundtrack : Martin Solveig - Everybody Performed by Lee Fields
